Picture Perfect Sundays!

Good Morning lovely people! Once again just a quick one from me today!
It's been a tremendously busy week for me! I've had extra performances at work due to the schools being on a break for Easter.
Trying to find time to do all of my other bits and pieces (work on the blog, go to German school, singing lessons, gym and of course crafting) have proven difficult.
I've even been looking on Ebay, for a pocket watch that can stop time. I believe they're out there? I haven't found one yet! I really must keep looking!
Even though it's been hard to fit everything in, being busy is how I like it! A BUSY Matt, is a VERY happy Matt :-)

So on this glorious Sunday Morning, I thought I'd give you a "Picture Perfect" post. A chance for me to share a couple of pics!

Now this picture, we've posted before. Its of a beautiful house that sits on the river close to our apartment. I just love it! Its a bright saffron colour and looks so perfect sat upon the glimmering water.

The reason I'm sharing this picture with you again, is because whilst searching through my laptop I came across another picture of the same house.
This picture was taken just a couple of weeks before the first. You can really see just how quick the seasons are changing!
I cant believe just a month ago we had such cold weathers that the river became an ice skaters dream! People were walking on the river as if it were a road!
I love the shapes of the paths that have been made in the snow and ice. Swirly and smooth!
BRRRRR! It makes me feel cold just looking at it!

After finishing my peg project, I feel like I had a little slump in creative energy and inspiration.
I NEED to have a project on the go, but for a brief moment I really didn't know what the next one should be.
No ideas and no projects, make me feel a little lost. Thank God that feeling didn't last too long!!! I now have ideas and inspiration coming out of my ears!!!
Here's what I've started working with:

A crafting clock.

Some new colours of embroidery floss.

Some wooden bits and bobs.

I'm combining the wood with yummy yarn and some crochet creativeness. I cant wait to show you what I come up with!

A spur of the moment bundle shot of mine and Dennis' blankets.
I feel such a sense of pride when I look at the things we have made!
I thought in the near future I would write a post that looks at each of the blankets individually. A chance to show them in a little more detail.

A postcard from our local Yarn shop/knit cafe! How fun is that!

How cute is the little sheep at the bottom just peering over edge of the card!

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this tree outside of the stage-door at work. It's in full blossom and looks so so pretty. The blossom looks delicate and light. I think it almost looks like a water colour painting.

I hope you are all having a 'Picture Perfect Sunday"!
I'm so very excited for tomorrow when Dennis and I pick the winners to the Y.A.R.N competition. You still have time to enter today (if you haven't already.) So many fantastic entries to choose from! I can't wait to share them with you!

Happy Sunday Funday!!!

Picture Perfect Sundays!!!

Early last month I made a trip back home to England for the weekend. I had such a lovely time catching up with my family and spending some time at my parents house.

The plan was to tell you all about everything that I got up to. However, it's almost two months later and I still haven't written the blog post!!! Instead I thought I would share my pictures in a "Picture Perfect Sunday" post. I hope you enjoy a little glimpse of the place I grew up  :-)

Malmesbury High Street- Check out the bunting hanging from shop to shop :-)

At the top of Malemsbury High street lives The Abbey, I love to walk through its gardens and marvel at how beautiful it is.

Malmesbury's Market Cross.

A view from across the town.

I've always really enjoyed walking around the town, there's so much to explore!
I also love to follow the river and always find it very peaceful especially when the October sun is out to say hello!

Popped to the Tetbury with mum.
Tetbury is the next town on from Malmesbury and has a beautiful church.

We stopped for a snack in this cute little cafe. They also sold homemade sweets and cute crafty gifts.

Mum and her cola.
It was lovely to be alone with mum for the afternoon. We enjoyed the weather and got to catch up on everything.

I had a nice hot coffee and some yummy crisps. A slightly odd combination but I did enjoy them both very much!

It was a much needed trip home and I left feeling all warm and full of mums lovely baking! BLISS!
Probably not the most exciting post for you guys, but a very special one for me. I hope you liked having a little peak at where I'm from.

I'm off to bed, then up to play my usual double show Sunday!
Thanks for dropping by! I hope you all have a FABULOUS Sunday!!!!!!

Picture Perfect Sundays!!!

Good morning to all of my lovely readers!! I hope you are all having a fantabulous weekend?
I woke up early to write this post before I head into work for the normal "double show Sunday".

It's the most beautiful morning here in Hamburg. The sun is giving me lots of energy for the day ahead.
Also the thought of ice cream after the show tonight gives me something yummy to look forward to! It's become a ritual of mine to treat myself to an over priced tub of ice cream on a Sunday evening. It finishes off my working week perfectly, I sure do look forward to it!!!!

I have had a great week, it's been a busy but very good one! I've taken lots of pictures and have had a blast editing them with the applications on my ipad. I've been uploading them to instagram and have had a good response from people following my posts.  I am sooooooo loving the instagram application! There are some really amazingly talented people about and it is a real pleasure to be able to share my pictures with so many people.

This week has been cloudy and has felt very much like autumn! so these beautiful sun flowers have definitely brightened up the apartment. They also seem to have done the trick of bringing the sun along to visit us! I bought them from a local shop. The shop only sales seasonal flowers so there are only ever a few varieties of flowers to choose from. At the moment the lady that owns the shop is stocking Sun Flowers,  i just couldn't resist buying a bunch. 10 Sun Flowers for €2.90,  a bargain if ever I saw one!

This picture is actually a couple of years old. Its of me jumping on the beach in West Whittering, in the south of England. I was in my final year of dance school and went on a short vacation to this beautiful little town.
I was staying with a friend who's family owned a little house on the very edge of the beach. The house was so cute! It was an old train carriage that had been converted into two bedrooms, living room, bathroom and kitchen. It still had all of the features of being a train. It had the old train windows and some of the walls were the original carriage partitions. I must try and get some pictures to share with you. It was such a nice vacation!

My felt tip pens! I just love them so much. Nothing much to say about them.  It is one of my favourite things it to have a nice set of pens to draw with. MAKES ME HAPPY!!!

I finished another one of my projects this week! This is another crocheted bag from Attic24. I have made three of these now. They are quick and easy to make and look great. I made this using the base of the cushion I had made two weeks ago. I told you I would put that cushion base to good use! A bag for my "in use" wool.

Finally, I have a selection of pictures that I took and then edited on my ipad. Some fun pictures to smile about!

EGGCELLENT!

FORK OFF!!!!

GET YOUR TIPS OUT!

AVRIL CADO

I was always told as a child "don't play with your food!" Not sure if drawing a smiley face and sticking woollen pig tales on an avocado counts?

Happy Sunday!!!!

Picture Perfect Sundays!!!

Happy Sunday everybody!!! Have a lovely sunny day! I'm just off to work for a double show day. My body is tired but the thought of Monday off keeps me buzzing!

I thought I would put a group of my projects together and get a nice little picture. Here are some of my bright blankets and cushions hanging out of my chest of drawers. I love the colours and how each of these creations manages to brighten up my apartment.

A close up shot of my Gay Pride flag.
Yesterday was Gay pride in Hamburg, I went with Dennis and my good friend Andrew to watch the parade. I had never been to a Gay Pride event before and was really overwhelmed with just how much pride I really did feel. I stood at the side of the road waving my pride flag and wearing a "Dildo King" baseball cap, both of which were given to me by an eight foot tall drag queen.
It did "rain on my Parade" but that did not dampen peoples spirits. Everybody stood and supported each other. People were cheering as the procession of amazing costumes and make up passed. There were people dancing through the street to the thump thump of Diana Ross singing "I'm coming out". It was such a joy to see and gave me so much energy as I headed of to work for the day.

A single rose that sits in an old mustard jar.
Dennis bought a bunch of roses from the local flower stall. I couldn't resist taking one away from the rest of the bunch and getting a close up shot. I love having fresh flowers around the apartment!

Picture Perfect Sundays!!!

Another week has passed!!! Time is flying by for me at the moment.  I promise to get a full blog entry in the next week. Untill then here are a few of my favourite pictures from my past week.

Rainbow of buttons! Some cute little buttons that are going on my next little hooky project!

A little glimpse of my current project, based on another delightful pattern by Lucy at Attic24.

I bundled all of my recent projects together for one multicoloured feast for the eyes!

And finally ...... walking to work this morning I spotted these cute little acorns! I took a snapshot of them once I was in the theatre. I love taking pictures of little things I find and I definitely wasn't let down this time by the acorns lovely shade of green! Rather Gorgeous!
